Draco Malfoy X Reader: Avada-Kadavra (One-Shot!)

You were told to meet Draco Malfoy at the Astronomy Tower, Draco was your boyfriend but something had been troubling him lately. You were waiting in the tower, you suddenly saw a tall thin young man with thick blonde hair and bright grey eyes.

You smiled and ran up to Draco about to kiss him but he pushed you away from him and took out his wand pointing it at you, you had noticed that his eyes were all puffy and his eyes were beat red as if he was crying.

“Draco what’s wrong?” You asked looking at him worried.

“A-Avada… A-A-Avana… Kad…” Tears slipped down Draco’s pale cheeks, Draco tried his best to hold back his sobs.

You looked at Draco horrified, “What’s gotten into you? Draco?” You slowly backed away, tears clouded in your eyes.

“I can’t do it!” Draco cried.

“Draco talk to me… Please… You’re scaring me…” You looked at Draco frightened.

“Voldemort wants me to kill you…” Draco whimpered a bit.

“W-What?” You looked at him sadly, “Oh god… Please Draco no…” You cried as tears slipped down your cheeks.

“I can’t do it!” Draco cried, he lowered his wand quickly turning away.

“Draco?” You stood there staring at him for a good moment or two.

Draco turned around and ran up to you hugging you tightly, “I could never kill you” Draco whispered to you, “Come on…” Draco grabbed your hand pulling you down the stairs.

“Where are we going?” You asked.

Draco pulled you toward the Room of Requirement, Draco walked up to a tall cabinet covered with an old dusty white sheet that was now the tinge of beige.

“What’s that?” You asked looking at Draco curiously.

Draco pulled off the dusty sheet, “You have to hide away from here” Draco said, “Vanishing cabinet… The other cabinet is in an old abandoned store in Knockturn Alley” Draco said.

“Knockturn Alley? That’s not safe, Death Eaters are alleys walking past there Draco” You looked worried.

“You’ll be safe in that shop… No one goes there anymore, not Death Eaters” Draco said, “Stay there… Don’t go anywhere… There’s a bed there, there’s food…” Draco opened the cabinet and gently pushed you inside.

You quickly stepped out, “When will I see you again?” You asked.

“Hopefully soon…” Draco muttered softly and cupped your cheek kissing you intensely, “Be safe” He whispered kissing your forehead before gently pushing you back into the cabinet closing the door whispering to himself.




Time Skip




Malfoy Manor




Draco silently stood next to his mother and father. His mother stared at her son nervously as Voldemort appeared in a black smoke. Voldemort walked up to Draco sending a slight glare at him, Lucius held his glass of wine tightly in his hand.

“It’s done…” Draco muttered softly looking down trying his best to not make eye contact with Lord Voldermort.

“Good, Draco I am proud of you” Voldemort grinned evilly and walked up to Draco hugging him.

Draco didn’t say another word, he just stood there awkwardly.

“You know what to do next” Voldemort looked at Lucius before disappearing, Draco looked at his father before slowly walking to his room, he closed his bedroom door locking it. He took out his wand muttering to himself before disappearing.





Knockturn Alley, Abandoned Shop



You were looking around the abandoned shop, climbed up a small ladder that led to a small loft. You looked at the bed, it looked like it had been slept in, you saw one of Draco’s dress shirts on the floor beside the bed.

“So this is where you go at night sometimes… On holidays probably… You told me your family goes away and leaves you all alone on holidays…” You muttered softly sitting down on the bed sighing.

“Please be back soon…” You begged.

Draco appeared in the abandoned shop, he looked at the blackened windows, “__________?” Draco asked looking around curiously.

“Draco?” You asked looking around.

Draco climbed up the ladder and saw you sitting down on the bed, “Are you hungry?” Draco asked looking at you curiously.

“A little bit…” You muttered softly.

Draco handed you a small satchel, “I got you some licorice wands, pumpkin juice, Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Bean, Chocolate Frogs, Cauldron Cakes, Steak and Kidney pie, Cornish Pasties,  also your favourite Butter Beer” Draco smiled a bit.

“Are you trying to chub me up?” You asked giggling a bit.

Draco sat beside you, “Well… There’s enough food there to last you a few months…” Draco muttered softly.

You looked at Draco and sighed, “Will you come and visit me?” You asked.

“I promise I’ll try…” Draco said lovingly grasping your hand.

“What’s going to happen now?” You asked looking at him worried; you put the bag down behind you and hugged Draco tightly.

“Voldemort is going to take down Hogwarts…” Draco whispered to you.

“What?!” You pulled away from Draco, “You’re not going to be a part of it are you Draco?” You looked even more worried.

“I have too… My father and mother are going to be a part of it too…” Draco sighed.

“Draco! Then I will fight back against the Death Eaters!” You shouted.

Draco cupped your cheeks, “You have to stay here, or Voldemort will kill both of us and my family… You can’t take part in the battle __________, you’ll be safe here” Draco kissed you lovingly.

“I have to help protect Hogwarts! You have to protect Hogwarts too Draco!” You pushed Draco away.

“I’m a Death Eater” Draco confessed.

You stared at Draco, “What?! You’re a Death Eater?!” You looked at Draco utterly shocked.
“I was forced too! I didn’t want too!” Draco shouted.

You hastily pulled your left sleeve down hiding your left arm behind your back.

Draco pulled up his left sleeve revealing the Dark Mark on his left forearm, “My father forced me… My mother didn’t want me to be a Death Eater but Voldemort said he would kill my family if I didn’t… He said the same about you…” Draco sighed.

“I understand that you didn’t want your family dead… I would have done the same…” You muttered softly.

“Why are you hiding your left arm?” Draco asked pulling his sleeve back down, “What are you hiding?” He whispered in your ear pulling your arm out from behind your back pulling up your left sleeve revealing a Dark Mark.

You quickly pulled your arm away pulling your sleeve down, “My father used to be a Death Eater but Voldemort killed him… Voldemort killed my mother too…” You muttered softly.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” Draco asked.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” You asked Draco the same question.

“I didn’t want to tell you because I thought you would think I’m a monster… Like my father…” Draco looked down sadly.

“Draco you’re not a monster” You walked up to Draco and hugged him tightly.

Draco hugged back, “I love you… Please stay here, your safe here” Draco whispered, “When this is all over… I’ll come and get you… And… And… We can run away together…” He said.

“We can even find a small cottage… In the country where muggles live… Just like you wanted” Draco smiled.

“Deal” You smiled kissing Draco passionately, “I love you so much…” You whispered to him, “I love you too…” Draco kissed back, “I have to go… I’ll pick you up when it’s over okay…” Draco said before taking out his wand disappearing.
