Loki X Reader: A Gift For The One I Love (O-S!)

You were sitting in a comfy hammock on your bedroom balcony reading peacefully, you were reading about Midgardian Mythology. Loki walked out onto the balcony holding a small blue box with a green silk ribbon tied around it.

You removed your eyes from the page and looked up at Loki looking at him curiously; you then noticed the blue gift box.

“I have gift for you” Loki gave you a soft smile before holding out the box to you, “You see, that’s why I was away for a couple of weeks… To get you something special…” Loki explained.

You put your book down beside your feet and unwrapped the green silk ribbon; you opened the box revealing a small dark green and dark greyish coloured baby dragon.

Loki smiled watching the small dragon climb out of the box and jump into your lap.

“Oh my gods Loki! He’s wonderful” You smiled.

“He’s still young but he will go strong and powerful” Loki said.

“He’s beautiful…” You put the box down and let the baby dragon climb into your hand; you looked closely at the small dragon with golden eyes.

The baby dragon nuzzled against your cheek.

Loki smiled and sat down beside you, “I assume you like him?” Loki gently placed his hand on your knee.

“Of course I love him” You kissed Loki’s cheek.

“When he’s strong enough, you’ll be able to ride him… Imagine… Flying through the clouds… Feeling the wind through your hair…” Loki whispered to you.

“I can’t wait” You smiled brightly.

“I have something else to tell you __________, it’s very important…”, You interrupted Loki with a passionate kiss, Loki looked at you utterly astounded.

You looked down blushing.

“I’m being sent to Asgardian prison” Loki muttered softly.

“What?!” You looked at Loki worried, “I thought you said you would sort everything out with the All-father?” You asked.

The baby dragon flew onto your shoulder, he lost flight and clinged to your dress with its claws and climbed onto your shoulder and sat there.

“He’s decided to send me to prison… I’m not even allowed to be here but I had to see you one last time” Loki kissed you passionately.

“Loki… I love you… I won’t let them take you to prison” You said sternly.

“The guards will be here any minute…” Loki stood.

You stood looking at Loki sadly, you cupped his cheek, “Do you love me back?” You asked.
“Of course I do” Loki smiled leaning in kissing you with his soft gentle lips.

“Then I will wait for you…” You kissed back, you saw two guards burst onto the balcony and grab Loki and drag him off the balcony and out of the room. You looked down sadly trying your best to hold back your tears.






A few years had passed



Thor had freed Loki from prison because he needed his brother’s help to defeat a dark elf named Malekith. Unfortunately, Loki had died, but he died in honor. You were heartbroken about Loki’s death, the man you loved was dead and you couldn’t do a thing about it.

You were in the courtyard of the Asgardian courtyard, your baby dragon had grown up and was huge and strong, he was now fully grown.

“Shall we go for a small flight my friend?” You asked gently petting the dragons snout, you sighed sadly gently resting your forehead on his.

Your dragon nuzzled you.

You gripped tightly onto the saddle and climbed onto your dragon, you held tightly onto the rein straps.

The dragon flapped its wings and took off into the sky, he flew up into the clouds, you slowly let go off the straps and let yourself fall off your dragon.

You led tears slip down your cheeks.

Your dragon quickly flew under you and caught you, he flew close to the ground and gently placed you down, he landed beside you looking at you shocked.

You fell to your knees sobbing heavily.

Your dragon sat down curving his body around your nuzzling you gently.

You turned around and hugged him tightly continuing to sob, “I still can’t believe he’s gone… My Loki… Is gone…” You cried.

“I have no one except you… Thor left Asgard to go to Midgard to be with Jane, Frigga’s gone… All that’s left is the All-Father and he’s just a grumpy old man” You sighed.

“Who said I was dead?” You heard a voice that sounded a lot like your lovers.

You turned your head and saw Loki standing feet away from you, you sat there for a moment just staring at Loki, “Why must my mind play painful tricks on me?” You asked yourself looking at your dragon sadly.

“I’m not a figment of your imagination darling, I am real” Loki smiled holding the All-Fathers staff in his right hand, “I am now king of Asgard and you… Shall be my queen” Loki smirked.

“Stop it!” You cried, “No more! The nightmares are bad enough! My heart is shattered, how much more does my imagination want to hurt me?” You sobbed more.

Loki walked up to you and knelt down in front of you cupping your cheeks gently wiping your tears.

“But you’re dead…” You muttered softly.

“No I’m not… What Thor saw was simply an illusion… I took the image of the All-Father and spoke to Thor… Thor denied the throne so tis mine now” Loki grinned.

“How long have you been alive?” You asked.

“Since you’ve heard of my death…” Loki muttered softly.

You slapped Loki, “That was almost a year ago! You’ve been alive all this time and all you care about is the throne and being a king!” You shouted.

“That’s not all I care about… You have no idea how much I’ve missed you…” Loki lovingly grasping both your hands.

“Do you know how much it broke my heart when Thor told me the news that you were dead… My heart shattered…” You pulled away from Loki.

Loki looked at you surprised at your actions.

“How could you?!” You screamed standing up looking at Loki hurt.

“Calm down…” Loki begged standing up looking at you worried, “I would have revealed myself to you sooner but I had important plans to attend too…” Loki said.

“Then apparently I’m not important to you…” You sighed sadly.

“You’re not important? You’re not important?! I love you with all my heart! You’re the most important thing in the world to me! In the universe even!” Loki shouted.

You flinched looking down quickly wiping your tears.

“I cried every night, I prayed to the All-Father begging for him to bring you back somehow… All this time you were off doing things that were clearly not important as I am…” You muttered softly.

Loki grabbed you by your neck, “It always has to be about you doesn’t it you little bitch!” Loki growled angrily.

You whimpered and began sobbing heavily.

Loki quickly let go of you, “Oh god… You brought out the monster…” Loki looked down sadly.
Your dragon growled slightly at Loki.

You fell to your knees wiping your tears sniffling.

Loki fell to his knees in front of you and hugged you tightly, “Oh god… I didn’t mean a damn thing… I love you… You’re right… I should have revealed myself to you sooner…” Loki gently lifted your chin kissing you passionately.

You stared deeply into Loki’s emerald green eyes, “I forgive you… I sounded quite selfish…” You muttered softly kissing back smiling brightly, “Look at him…” You looked at your dragon.

“He’s all grown up” Loki smiled.

You stood and curtsied, “So my king… What is your first command as king? You asked.
“I command you to kiss me more” Loki chuckled and caressed his arms around your waist pulling you toward him, “I can certainly do that my king, I missed your soft sweet lips… That sweet taste of peppermint and your fresh winter breath” You smiled kissing Loki deeply and passionately.
