Loki X Reader: Friend Zone (One-Shot!)

Loki and you were sitting in Stark Tower which was now the official HQ of The Avengers, Loki was now allowed out of his cage, though he was not allowed to leave Stark Tower, he didn’t seem to mind that much. Loki rather enjoyed being in Stark Tower but only because of his good friend that happened to be you, an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. pupil.

You and Loki laughed, Loki had been making jokes about Thor for hours on end, Loki chuckled and smiled at you, he stared at you for a few moments before looking down.

“What?” You asked giggling a bit, you looked at Loki curiously.

“Oh nothing…” Loki muttered softly.

“Come on Loki, we’re best friends… We have been for a very long time…” You looked at Loki and gave him a soft smile.

“Why don’t you go back to Asgard? Don’t you hate living amongst these mortals?” Loki asked.

“I am truly an Asgardian but no one can know that, I’ve always wanted to know what it’s like to live as a mortal Loki… Sometimes Asgard gets boring to be honest, nothing ever happens…” You muttered crossing your arms leaning back.

“We are best friends, we always will be right?” Loki looked at you.

“Of course we will always be best friends Loki” You smiled and hugged Loki tightly.

“That’s what I was afraid of…” Loki sighed sadly.

“What? Why?” You pulled away looking at Loki curiously.

Loki took a deep breath looking at you, “There’s no point if we’re stuck just being friends…” Loki muttered softly.

“Loki, just tell me what’s wrong please…” You begged.

Loki didn’t say a word; he just got up and walked into the kitchen, “Would you like something to eat? Or perhaps drink, I could make some of my hot chocolate with a hint of peppermint that you love so much” Loki smiled.

“I’d love some, but don’t change the subject Loki” You said sternly and got up off the couch, you walked into the kitchen and watched Loki grab some fresh mint, chocolate, milk, peppermint extract and sugar.

“Good, I could really go for a cup as well” Loki chuckled and smiled at you, Loki put a small pot filled with water onto the stove and let it boil, he put some chocolate in a glass bowl and put it over the pot melting the chocolate.

“Loki, stop doing that!” You begged.

Loki turned his head and looked at you, he poured a cup of sugar into the melted chocolate and began stirring it every once in a while, “What do you want me to say?” Loki asked.

“Tell me what’s wrong Loki” You let out a slight growl getting annoyed with Loki.

“I want to be more then friends….” Loki whispered.

“What? I can’t hear you Loki, speak up” You looked at Loki trying to figure out what he had said.

“I want to be more then friends!” Loki shouted and quickly turned around beginning to slowly mix some milk into the melted chocolate.

“What?” You were utterly dumbfounded.

Loki sighed sadly, “I know, stupid right? I should have never fallen in love with you…” Loki muttered as he poured some peppermint extract into two mugs along with the chocolate beverage, he put cut up some mint and put it on the top.

“Wow… Wow… Wow… Hold up here” You pulled your mug toward you, “Your in love… With me?” You looked at Loki still a bit shocked, you took a sip of your hot chocolate and smiled, it tasted so good and rich.

Loki quickly took a sip of his, “This is good, but it’s too thick, perhaps I should have added some heavy cream to make it more of chocolate milk like texture…” Loki said to himself.

You stood and walked up to Loki giving him a stare down.

“Oh god, not the stare…” Loki quickly looked down.

“You’re in love with me yes?” You asked.

Loki nodded.

“For how long?” You asked.

“Ever since I laid my eyes on you, ever since I got to know you better… So I guess… The first time we met” Loki smiled innocently at the floor.

You blushed and smiled a bit, “How could you’re so nervous to tell me hmp?” You asked gently lifting Loki’s chin so he was now looking at you.

Loki took a step back, “I was afraid you wouldn’t like me back…” Loki muttered softly.

“What makes you think I don’t love you back?” You asked looking at Loki; you picked up your mug of hot chocolate and walked down the hallway and into your small office.

“Jarvis… Lights on…” You said setting your hot chocolate down on your desk, you were quite shocked you got your very own office; you only had been there a few months.

“Yes Ma’am” Jarvis said as the lights turned on, “Also Ms. _________, Loki is on his way to your office right now, he will arrive in 30 seconds” Jarvis mentioned.

Loki ran into your office.

“Loki? What’s wrong?” You asked looking at Loki curiously; you leaned on the front of your desk wondering what was wrong.

“I’m sick and tired of being stuck in the bloody friend zone!” Loki blurted.

“What?” You asked.

Loki suddenly wrapped his right arm around your waist pulling you toward him kissing you passionately, “I’m deeply in love with you ________” Loki confessed.

You blushed staring deeply into Loki’s emerald green eyes.

Loki kissed you again, this time harder and even more passionate, Loki lifted you up and lay you down on the desk, he wrapped your legs around his waist as he leaned down and kissed you.

“Loki…” You blushed bright red.

“Yes darling?” Loki asked looking deeply into your eyes.

“I love you…” You smiled brightly.

Loki smiled and wrapped his arms around you holding you close, “I’m so glad you love me back” Loki whispered to you hugging you tightly. You giggled and wrapped your arms around Loki’s neck snuggling your head into his chest, “I’m so glad you love me too…” You kissed Loki passionately as you both just cuddled.
