Tony Stark X Reader: New Intern (One-Shot!)

Tony was in his workshop working on a new iron suit of his, Pepper walked downstairs and opened the door, Pepper cleared her throat. Tony looked up and saw Pepper; he cleaned the oil of his hands with a ragged cloth.

“Who’s this Pepper?” Tony asked looking at her curiously; Tony looked at you up and down giving you a charming smile.

“The new intern… Since I have to go visit my family on an emergency trip, she will be my replacement for the next few months” Pepper explained.

You stood there in your clean women’s work suit holding your briefcase in your right hand, “Lovely to meet you Mr. Stark” You said.

Tony stood and walked up to you, “Oh, a super professional intern, I like it” Tony smirked.

Pepper rolled her eyes, “I have to leave, I will be back in exactly three months, if you need exactly anything, _________ will get it for you” Pepper said.

Tony nodded and grinned.

Pepper grabbed her suitcase and walked upstairs and out the door getting into a limo; you followed Pepper and watched the limo drive away as you closed the door and locked it.

You turned around seeing Tony standing feet away from you leaning against the wall grinning.

“Hello there” Tony smiled.

“Would you like anything Mr. Stark?” You asked.

“Are you any good at baking?” Tony asked looking at you curiously, “I would really love some chocolate chip cookies and milk” Tony grinned like a small child.

“Of course sir” You said and walked into the kitchen opening the cupboards pulling out some ingredients to make chocolate chip cookies.

Tony walked back downstairs and into his workshop, “Jarvis, pull up ________ file” Tony said sitting down at his desk.

“Certainly sir” Jarvis replied as your file appeared on Tony’s computer screen.

“Her parents died in a fire… She was sent to orphanage when she was young…” Tony muttered softly, “Wow, she’s ex-military” Tony looked pretty shocked, “Hold on… Hold on… She was kicked out because she punched general out cold when he shouted in her face” Tony laughed.

“I like this girl already Jarvis” Tony chuckled, “Oh no… She’s a member of S.H.I.E.L.D. that’s never good…” Tony muttered, “Blah, blah, blah, oh! Relationship status: Widowed” Tony looked down for a moment than looked at the screen.

“Her husband was also in the military… He was in Iran and was… was killed by the man who captured me…” Tony looked at the small robot arm that looked at him with a camcorder, “I hate these stupid video diaries! Their stupid!” Tony shouted at the camera.





About an hour later


You walked down into Tony’s workshop with a plate of cookies and a glass of milk, you set down the plate of cookies and glass of milk on Tony’s desk. Tony turned around and gave you a soft smile; he put his screwdriver down and walked over to you picking up a chocolate chip cookie taking a bite.

His smile grew wider, “MMmm, just like mom used to make” Tony looked at you and took a sip of milk, “Feel free to have one as well… You good at baking anything else?” Tony asked.

You picked up a cookie and took a bite of it, “I also bake cake, cheesecake, muffins, cupcakes” You muttered softly.

“I must say, I’m impressed, could you possibly bake me all of those things?” Tony smiled innocently.

“Certainly Mr. Stark, I will have them baked right away” You said walking back upstairs.

“I can see it now Jarvis! _________ Stark and she can bake!” Tony chuckled biting into another cookie; “I think I’m falling in love” Tony smiled.

You blushed hearing everything Tony had said, “Pepper’s right, he is quite the dork” You let out a small giggle and continued walking upstairs, you walked into the kitchen and quickly cleaned up your mess then began getting ready to make some blueberry and chocolate chip muffins.

Tony sipped at his glass of milk and licked his fingers, “Her grandma taught her how to bake, that’s where all the great bakers come from” Tony smirked.

“Mr. Stark…” Tony heard your voice.

“I believe you accidentally dialed me sir” You tried your best to hold back a giggle.
“How much did you hear?” Tony asked.

“We’ve been on the phone for a few hours sir… I’ve heard everything you said Mr. Stark” You muttered softly, “I just took the cakes out of the oven, what kind of icing would you sir?” You asked.

Tony was silent a moment, “Vanilla please…” Tony muttered softly.

“Vanilla, of course sir” You said, “You’re three decor cake will be ready in a few minutes sir” You said icing the first cake.

“Great… Look I’m sorry about your husband, I read about him, he seemed like a great man” Tony said; “You were a wonderful soldier too, thank you for your service” Tony smiled.

Tony heard silence and a quiet sob, Tony quickly got up and walked upstairs, “________?” Tony asked walking upstairs.

You were sitting behind the island quietly sobbing.

Tony saw an elegant three decor vanilla cake sitting on the counter along with blueberry and chocolate chip muffins, the chocolate chip muffins had chocolate drizzle on them and the blueberry had blueberry compote inside.

Tony quickly stuffed a muffin in his face and peeked around the corner seeing you on the floor crying, “_________? Are you okay?” Tony asked.

You looked up seeing Tony and couldn’t help but laugh.

“What?” Tony asked looking at you curiously, “Is there something on my face?” Tony asked.

You giggled grabbing a cloth wiping the muffin smudged on Tony’s face; “You’re a goofball” You smiled.

Tony laughed and gently wiped your tears, “I couldn’t help myself, your baked good are so damn good” Tony chuckled.

“Well I’m glad you like them” You smiled.

“I’m sorry I mentioned your husband… I didn’t mean to upset you” Tony sighed kissing your cheek.

You blushed, “It’s fine Mr. Stark…” You stood helping him up, you quickly put some oven mittens on taking out some red velvet, vanilla and chocolate chip cupcakes.

“How much baked goods did you make me?” Tony asked grinning.

“I made more chocolate chip cookies, your vanilla cake with vanilla icing just like you required blueberry muffins with blueberry compote, chocolate chip muffins with chocolate drizzle, and I also made brownies, homemade marshmallows… I also just took out the cupcakes and you’re cheesecake is still in the oven” You smiled a bit.

“Really? How did you bake that so fast?” Tony asked, “It’s only been three hours…” Tony said, “To bake all the it would take hours and hours on end” Tony muttered softly, “I also only have two ovens” Tony looked at you suspiciously.

“Right… Um… I have mutant powers…” You smiled innocently, “Pepper wanted to keep that a secret… I’m sorry Mr. Stark” You muttered softly.

“Is your super power baking?” Tony asked.

“No, I’m afraid not” You laughed, “My super power is fire… I can heat things, I use that for baking a lot, I can bake things faster” You smiled innocently.

“That’s fine, I don’t mind at all…” Tony said, “Hey I’m Ironman and you’re a hot chick with fire powers” Tony chuckled.

“You think I’m hot?” You looked at Tony shocked.

Tony nodded and smiled innocently, “Thank you for baking for me, but I think I need you to do something else for me…” Tony said.

You blushed, “What would that be Mr. Stark?” You asked.

“I need you to kiss me… Because I find you extremely beautiful and I love a women who’s professional and can bake” Tony grinned, “Well Mr. Stark, I love a man who’s handsome and can make me laugh, not to mention handsome” You grinned and leaned in kissing Tony passionately.
